Since the announcement on March 15, 2020 by the Minister of Education in which onsite classes were suspended for students, it seems that we have received additional information daily about what education will look like moving forward. As we contemplate these changes and focus most of our efforts toward implementing programming for students, we ask that parents be patient as we await more information from Alberta Education to make further decisions on school fees.
At this time Livingstone Range School Division will take the following actions in relation to school fees:
- Field trips that have not or will not occur - effective immediately schools will reimburse parents for the cost of the field trip minus any unrecoverable related cost.
- Postponed field trips - reimbursements will not be issued until it is determined the trip will no longer occur. Grade 12 students who will no longer be eligible to attend a postponed field trip will receive a reimbursement minus any unrecoverable related cost.
- Extracurricular Activities that have not or will not occur - effective immediately schools will reimburse parents.
Be assured that Livingstone Range School Division will refund any fee where the associated service is not provided.
