Canadian Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (CPVMA)

We are excited to announce that Canada's third virtual Pre-Veterinary Symposium will be from May 31st to June 2nd, 2024. This symposium’s theme will focus on the changing face of veterinary medicine and will showcase approximately 23 speakers from diverse areas, including technological innovation, mental health, one health, international veterinary care, and more. This symposium will allow students in veterinary medicine to gain knowledge from leading experts in various fields of veterinary medicine, delve into the latest research and engage in meaningful discussions.

Granum Fire Academy

Prepare for a career in health care & first responder fields
The Granum Fire Academy is a 2-year program where Grade 11 & 12 students can
earn high school credits while learning & developing skills that transfer to careers
such as nurse, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or firefighter

PROGRAM DETAILS
Location: Granum School, Granum Firehall, and the future
M.D. of Willow Creek training facility
Time: Fridays, 1:30-4:30pm + training hours
Cost: $100 per course for a total of $200 (includes
certification, testing, GFA shirts, bunker gear)
Limited to 12 students per semester

Dual Credit Program

LRSD Dual Credit 

Earn high school AND post-secondary credit! Collaboration and partnership with Southern Alberta post-secondary institutions provides students opportunities and choice in career pathways. At a limited charge to students, courses may be offered at a high school, at the University or College, online or a combination of both. Plus, high school students gain a deeper understanding of the college or university experience!
